Applied Sciences

I welcome you to the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, with great pleasure and a deep sense of responsibility.

Since its establishment in 1999, the Faculty has grown into a vibrant academic community committed to excellence in teaching, research, and community engagement within the field of applied sciences. The Faculty of Applied Sciences 1 at Rajarata University of Sri Lanka was transformed into the Faculty of Applied Sciences upon the inception of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. Since then, the Faculty has achieved tremendous growth across essential facets as an academic institution and knowledge hub.

Structure and Academic Programs

The Faculty comprises of four academic departments, namely,

• Department of Electronics
• Department of Industrial Management
• Department of Mathematical Sciences
