The Department offers basic courses in Industrial Management common for the first year students in the Faculty. From the second year onwards, the students selected to follow Industrial Management, will be sent to the industry to get the industrial exposure.

The Department offers following degree programs for the undergraduates.

  • 3- year B.Sc. (General) Degree
  • 4-year B.Sc. (Joint Major) Degree
  • 4-year B.Sc. (Special) Degree in Industrial Management

Based on the overall performance of the undergraduates at the end of Level II of the degree program, they can chooseone of 4-year degree programs. Those who wish to get exit at Level III can choose B.Sc. (General) Degree.

The systematic conceptual framework is finely put up by the Department through 72 credits of course modules in the following areas to provide innovative human resources in a structured way.

Furthermore, the Industrial Management graduates undertake a project work on Designing & Developing a Computer Based System in their third year with the intention of understanding, documenting, re-engineering, and improving the efficiency of selected industrial and business processes. Through this project, they develop both interpersonal and analytical skills highly demanded in facing the challenges of today’s dynamic business environment.

The Joint Major students are exposed to the industry through the industrial training program. The department is involved in exposing its graduates to experience a realistic industrial environment confronted with challenging national and global issues: The Faculty Coordinator of the Industrial Training, who is from the Department, provides a valuable guidance and leadership which remodels and add new dimensions to the whole program.

The Department increases the quality of the students by providing the opportunity to specialize in Industrial Management. The specialized knowledge and skills of the graduates in Industrial Management will accelerate the quicker adaption to any assigned task of the job efficiently and effectively fitting with the available resources and dynamic technological environments. The Department also encourages the students to continue further education by providing the opportunity to get scholarships in the field of Industrial Management.
