Department of Electronics

The Drone Workshop, organized by the Electronics Society, Faculty of Applied Sciences, was held successfully on the university premises on June 3, 2022. Dr. Surantha Salgadoe led it in order to improve our knowledge and enthusiasm for drone technology. His knowledge and expertise were a great privilege for our undergraduates. They got an opportunity to raise questions in the session and received solutions to them. We highly appreciate Dr. Surantha Salgadoe’s commitment and dedication to this workshop.

Students of the Department of Electronics participated in the National Industry Exhibition, “Industry – 2022” held on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th of February at the Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) organized by the Industrial Development Board of Sri Lanka under the guidance of the Ministry of Industries. It was a huge opportunity to introduce the innovations and projects of the students of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and make people aware of the Department of Electronics of the university. The Annual General Meeting for the year 2021 of the Electronics Society, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka is scheduled to be held virtually on the 22nd of October from 7.00 pm onwards via Zoom.
