Invitation to join the online seminar

The Faculty of Applied Sciences is delighted to share that Dr. Rohana Vithanage (PhD), Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, will deliver an invited research seminar as part of the Cell Development Biology Seminar Series.

Seminar Topic

Modeling Tumor–Immune–Chemotherapy Dynamics

This seminar explores how mathematical modeling and optimal control theory can be used to optimize chemotherapy treatment by balancing tumor reduction, immune system preservation, and drug toxicity. The work demonstrates the role of computational mathematics in addressing real-world biomedical challenges and advancing cancer treatment strategies.

We warmly invite the Faculty of Applied Sciences community, including academic staff, researchers, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students, to join this seminar and support Dr. Rohana Vithanage as they engage in this exciting interdisciplinary research.
