B.Sc (Special) in Applied Electronics

Students who intend to develop deep knowledge in Electronics leading Industrial or academic and research positions can follow the Special Degree in Applied Electronics. Very limited number of students, who perform well in the first two levels (with higher Grade Point Averages-GPAs), are able to follow the four-year special Degree. Noteworthy aspects of this program is that students undertake design projects in the Level-4, in addition to theory plus practical course modules. Students who follow this program will develop different skills such as Electronics system designing, research, Electronics circuit analysis etc.

Following course modules are offered leading to the B.Sc (Special) in Applied Electronics.

B.Sc (Joint Major) Degree

The Department offers Electronics course modules for 4-year Joint Major Degree Program, where students can select Electronics as Major I or Major II. Students who select Electronics as Major I will undertake design project in their final year where they can apply what they learn in the class room to real world problems. Further, Joint Major students will be given six-month industrial training. Student gain training in Electronics related industry during this period and they will undertake a research to improve or solve a problem in their company as a part of this training. This training helps most of our students to find job opportunities as soon as they complete their Degree Program.

Students who enroll for the Joint Major Degree program, can select Electronics as Major I or Major II subject. Following table shows the course modules of Electronics for the Major I and Major II.
