The Faculty of Applied Sciences, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, is pleased to announce the opening of the FAS Computer Laboratory, which was held on 31 August 2026 at the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka. This was a significant milestone in the faculty’s endeavor in establishing a conducive teaching and learning environment for the undergraduates and other stakeholders.
The ceremony will be graced by Prof. E.M.P. Ekanayaka, Vice-Chancellor, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, as the Chief Guest.
The occasion was also attended by Prof. M.M.D.R. Deegahawature, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences; Prof. L.D.R.D. Perera, Former Dean; Heads of Departments; the Deputy Registrar of the Faculty; Non-Academic Staff, and students.
The Vice Chancellor ceremonially declared the opening of the FAS Computer Laboratory. The Vice Chancellor, the Dean, and the former Dean addressed the gathering.
The Faculty of Applied Sciences looks forward to marking this significant milestone in enhancing facilities for teaching, learning, and academic activities.
