“Mulya Maga” Financial Awareness Program Successfully Conducted for Small Business Owners in Kuliyapitiya

The “Mulya Maga” Financial Awareness Program, organized by third-year students of the Department of Industrial Management Studies, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Wayamba University of Sri Lanka, was successfully conducted on 06.05.2026 in collaboration with the Small Enterprise Development Division of the Divisional Secretariat, Kuliyapitiya West.

The program, held at the Main Auditorium of the Divisional Secretariat Office, Kuliyapitiya West, brought together small business owners from the Kuliyapitiya area with the aim of enhancing their understanding of essential financial management practices and strengthening their capacity to make informed business decisions.

The session provided a valuable platform for entrepreneurs to engage in discussions related to financial management, business sustainability, and practical financial planning. Participants actively contributed to the interactive sessions and gained useful insights into effective financial management strategies for improving business performance and long-term sustainability.

The initiative reflected the commitment of Wayamba University of Sri Lanka students toward community development through knowledge sharing, social responsibility, and community engagement. The program concluded successfully with highly positive feedback from participants, highlighting the importance of financial literacy initiatives in supporting the growth, resilience, and sustainability of small enterprises within the region.
